CPC Sneak Peak

Good morning!  Today is my turn to share with you my little sneak peak for this month's Design Team Delights Gallery that opens up tomorrow at Christian Paper Crafts!
I made this little scrapbook page of our favorite little "Vacation Church" using PaperTreyInk, October Afternoon, and Ippity Supplies!
I have some more exciting news to share, too!  I have been asked to join the I {heart} ippity creative team!  How cool is that!?  I can't wait to share more of my love of {ippity} with you!

God Bless You,

Just another manic Monday...

Monday mornings are always manic at our house, thanks to lazy weekends, no one wants to get out of the bed! Since I am running behind already, Monday's tend to be a little short...
Here is my Project for the day, a scrapbook page of Abby and I at on the boat.

You can of course see she is getting ready to jump in, while I am the other hand...man the boat lol

Have a great Monday everyone!

God bless you,

*Snowy Saturday*

Snow...  I am so over the white stuff!  We have had more than our fair share around here this year.  At least this snow is on the weekend, and I am home with my loves!  Since school has not started back yet, I get to spend the snowy day catching up on housework and playing with paper and material!!  I just wish my mommy lived closer so we could do this together!
My first little creation today is for the Clean and Simple Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts today, as well as the sketch and color challenge over at SplitCoastStampers.
(Paper: PaperTreyInk; Images & Sentiment: PaperTreyInk; Misc: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, Cricut shape, gingham ribbon)

And in some happy, scrappy news, I'm now a Scrapbook Specialist at Christian Paper Crafts!  Below is a page a created from our "Christmas Vacation" to the Inn at Christmas Place in Tennessee this past December!
(Paper: PaperTreyInk, My Mind's Eye; Stamps: PaperTreyInk; Lettering: Cricut; Misc: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, Fskars Treading Water Punch, buttons, jute, Marvy snowflake punch, bling)

Welcome to Christian Paper Crafts, Scrabooking!

Good morning! Can you believe it is the middle of the week already? Thankfully we are planning a little mini trip to take Abby to DollyWood this Saturday, but shhh, she doesn’t know – it’s a surprise!
Today is the kick-off of the new Scrapbooking Section over at Christian Paper Crafts! Please make time to stop by and see what all of the commotion is about! Since it is also Wednesday, it is time once again for CASE Artist Wednesday. Today’s challenge is to CASE ANYTHING from the new scrapbook section! See, simple as that, plus you are getting to play along in 2 challenges! How’s that for multi-tasking!!
The challenge I decided to CASE is a sketch, which also is the title of one of the new scrapbook challenges, Stretch Your Sketch! Here is what I came up with:

Also today, I have my card for Christian Paper Crafts Sketch Tuesday to share with you!  Made with some PaperTrey and Abbey Road sweetness with a touch of pearls!  This little bit is also going in the challenge over at Stampin Sister's in Christ this week :o)

...Sparkles...

Everything on my projects sparkle today...
When I saw the current sketch for Card Positioning Systems, rather than a card, a scrapbook page was the first thing to come to my mind.  Today's Scripture Saturday over at Christian Paper Crafts is Psalms 19:1.  Although I knew the picture I wanted to use for my page, I was unsure on the layout until I found that one!!  I also had to combine it with the Fussy and Fancy Challenge of Scallops, Stitches, and Sparkle!  Such a fun way to remember such a fun vacation!
Here is my page:
(Paper: BoBunny, Accessories: Prima Flower, Lace, Button, Pin, Cork, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist)
Since the CPS and Fussy and Fancy challenges are really geared toward card making, I decided to make a card using these "guidelines" along with one of my favorite Deedee's Digis (and yes, it is "upside down", but I just love it that way for some reason):
(Paper: PaperTrey Ink, BoBunny; Image: Deedee's Digis, Accessories: Copics, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Lace)

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Woot Woot

I received my grade back from my Statistics midterm and found out I scored 95%!  So excited :o)  Now if the rest of the class goes that good I will be all set!
This week's Fun on Friday over at Christian Paper Crafts is to make something with a monogram.  I decided to make this little number for my home office following the sketch from 2Sketches4You this week:

(Paper: PaperTreyInk, Cosmo Cricket - Girl Friday; Ink: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Distress Ink - Tea Stain; Accessories: glitter letter, ribbon, lace)
Next up is a card I made for MOJO Monday and Digi Doodle Shop - just getting some MOJO on with my scraps, LOL!

(Paper: PaperTreyInk, BoBunny - Peacock, Stamps: Ippity - What Matters Most; Ink: Momento - Rich Cocoa, Distress Ink - Tea Stain; Accessories: Copics, ribbon, cuttlebug embossing folder, pearls, jute, button)
And last but not least, I made a scrapbook page for Scrappin' Silhouettes:

(Paper: BoBunny, Misc; Accessories: lace, Cork, Prima Flower)
I just loved our fun time at VBS!  The top pic is me with my Teen Class and the lower one is my hubby and me covered in shaving cream on the day of the VBS Party!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Monday Already...

As I sit at home typing this, the dreading thought of "Monday already"... pops into my head!  I am very thankful to be alive and well (although I realize it does not sound very evident in that thought), but I am trudging to work today while my hubby and little girl are enjoying the day at home :o(
I am excited to FINALLY be sharing my Scripture Saturday page with you - just a couple of days late!  I had a picture in my mind of how I wanted to do the page and would not stop until I got it that way!
It's my sweet little one on her first trip to the beach - All done in BoBunny Line with some primas, ribbon, lace, and a cork journaling tag (homemade).
Next up is for Color Monday at Christian Paper Crafts!  I love playing along with the colors, even if  I don't get them exactly right, it gives me a springboard to start from!  Today's colors were brown and celery.  Well, since I could not find any green that could be considered "celery", just consider this celery that has been left in the bottom drawer of the fridge for a few days too many!

(Cardstock: PaperTreyInk, Stamp: PaperTreyInk, Ribbon, lace, twine, Cuttle Bug embossing folder, PTI Tag Die)

Have a wonderful Monday!

God Bless You,

Oh What A Day...

And it isn't over yet. I apologize for this blog post being so late, but the day has just went nonstop unscheduled!!
This first card is for Fun on Friday over at Christian Paper Crafts yesterday and follows this week's 2 Sketches 4 You sketch!
The scrapbook page, well just imagine there is a picture there. I could not find the one I was looking for at all, but there is going to be a picture of me and my daddy there as soon as I do find it :o)

Supplies used today include My Mind's Eye cardstock, PTI cardstock, CTMH ink, {ippity} stamps, and Unity February Kit of the Month stamps! The scripture under the stamped sentiment on the scrapbook page is Psalms 119:1 from Scripture Saturday today at Christian Paper Crafts!
Have a wonderful day!!

God Bless You,
Mary

Strawberry-Banana Bread Kind of Day...

Winner!! If you are GOCANUCKS go, please send me an email to marycollins.at.windstream.net (sorry, had to type it that way to prevent spam) with your email address and name! You have won a small gift certificate to Lauren Meader's new store, My Time Made Easy!
Yumm.... Last night I baked some homemade strawberry-banana bread... so nice and fresh, we are eating this loaf without the topping :o) I guess that just means we'll have to force ourselves to make another loaf to try the topping!
Today I'm combining some challenges in my projects! First you will see my card!
This card was made with clear cardstock, PTI paper, Unity Stamp, etc... The challenge for DCRU this week is to NOT use DP or Patterned Paper. Even though it was hard, I drug out the cuttlebug and used my new floral screen folder to do a little embossing, The fabulous sketch come from the ever-so talented 2Sketches4You and the glitz and glimmer you see on the church house, well that's part of the challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts today for Fun on Friday! We have a special guest host and you'll want to click over there and find out more!!

Next is a layout that I made of my sweet little girl on Christmas morning! The layout was part of a challenge for our local scrapbook store, and the glitter that is showered about the snowflakes is for Fun on Friday today as well!
I hope you have a wonderful day and blessed weekend. My sweet hubby has minister's conference tonight, so I guess me and the little one are going to have a night to ourselves!
Don't forget to check out {Ippity} Kisses! There are some MAGNIFICENT Grand Opening Sales there and remember, this {ippity} chick does it for charity!!

So Happy For You...

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day! The little love of my life and I had a date with her daddy last night to McDonald's and a Wal-Mart trip all for her! Anytime I am excited over something, Abby is sure to be the first to tell me, I'm so happy for you, mommy! Now how sweet is that, especially coming from someone not even 3 yet! Abby girl, I am so happy for me that God blessed me to be your mommy!
It's Saturday, so you know what that means here! CASE artist Saturday and Scripture Saturday over at Christian Paper Crafts.
I used today's scripture - very Valentine's appropriate might I add :o) - "I am my beloved's..." (Song of Solomon 2:16). The page is of my wonderful hubby and I on our wedding day, and yes... I am still working on the wedding scrapbook album after all these years...or should I say I am finally working on it!
Today's CASE artist is thumbunny! I really enjoyed cruising through her gallery and making this card from one of the layouts found there!
My sweetie has to work today :o( and I have to file a complaint on eBay...the first time since I have had the account for over 7 years! Not fun at all!

God Bless You,

Nope... I didn't disappear!

Just been a little busy with work and life... I'm back now though :o)
Printing on the 12x12 paper! Shortly after the big digi scrapping wave hit, my hubby bought me a Canon printer for some holiday that I can't remember now and told me that if I really got into it, we would sell this one and get the more pricey version. I am sure glad he did not buy that other one to begin with. I have had this printer for YEARS now and have only used it about 5 times 0 if that... So, the other day when I was looking for lettering for this page and nothing on the Cricut was jumping out at me, I decided to start it up and giv it a try :o) I liked how it turned out, but decided to add some stickles around the lettering to really make it P-O-P!
Thanks for stopping by!

God Bless You,

"Pap"

I adore my daddy! I always have. I feel so blessed when I am able to see my little Abby with my dad and witness the special relationship she has with her "Pap". Don't get me wrong, she loves her "Mam" better than Mac&Cheese (her favorite meal), but there is something about "Pap" and when she says his name he melts... He always has and I suppose always will!
This page is made with all My Mind's Eye Papers, except the Papertrey Ink Kraft cardstock. The flowers are made from both the Cricut and Unity Stamps September 2009 Kit of the Month! Inks are Close to my heart. Button, ribbon, making memories journaling spot, and jute also used.
I hope you all have a wonderfully blessed weekend! It will be pretty busy for us, Saturday is my daddy's birthday, as well as the bike ride at the church for Relay for Life and Sunday is Pastor Appreciation Dinner at our church. I wonder if you can guess who has to do some cooking Friday night and Saturday morning!
God Bless You,

SN&R Faith Blog Hop Info :o)

Happy Thursday morning! There's nothing like a Thursday to get my week going :o) It makes me so happy to know that Friday is just around the corner! I am so excited that our church is doing a bike ride for our Relay for Life team this weekend on Saturday and then Pastor Appreciation dinner on Sunday! Busy, busy, busy! Oh, and I've got some scrapping and crafting to work on this weekend ;)
I am so tickled to show this to you! I made it for the Fun on Friday Challenge at Christian Paper Crafts last week where we were to use Pottery Barn as our inspiration :o)! I found a precious bedroom in Pottery Barn Kids and knew I had paper to match it right away.

Oh I love this page! It is such a contrast from the Dora page! I was able to go back to my shabby inked edges that I am so much more at home with! The majority of the items used here are Making Memories, with a little lace, and some prima bling thrown in for good measure! Oh, and those lovely letters are K&Co and ever so sparkly and girly in real life!
If you have not already heard about the Faith Blog Hop that is in the planning stages, click here to find out more!God Bless You,

Scripture Saturday

Hello again! Today is Scripture Saturday over at Christian Paper Crafts! I hope that you will consider playing along. If you do, please upload to our gallery with SS009 or to the gallery of your choice with CPCSS009!
Today's Scripture comes from 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 10. It is a verse that has become very dear to me as I have grown closer to God. Through prayer and time with Him, I have come to understand that scrapbooking and paper-crafting is what I am to use as my tool, "gift" for Him. To God be the glory! As this has become more apparent to me, there have been doors open up, that I know only He could open, and I know there will be many more to come. We all don't receive the same gift (thankfully, how boring would that be)... However, once you discover what your gift is, remember your maker who gave it to you, and use it to bring glory and honor to His name!!
And, here is my page!

Scripture Saturday

Good morning! For Scripture Saturday, I would like to refer each of you to the 1st Book of Corinthians, chapter 13. Specifically verse 7, but you really need to begin at the beginning of the chapter. It really is a great read. Today's scripture verse selection is 1 Corinthians 14:7. I never have gotten around to scrapbooking our wedding. Gary & I were married over 5 years ago, but for some reason, I just never have scrapbooked the pictures. It seems the longer I put it off, the easier it is to come up with excuses not to do it... I am going to try to commit to making at least one wedding page per week, in hopes that I will have a complete wedding album by the end of the year, or the beginning of next year. In effort to give myself some credit, I did make a small mini album right after the wedding, just not what I wanted to fully accomplish! Today I decided to use wedding pictures, along with the Tuesday Sketch #19 for my Scripture Saturday page!

(My Minds Eye paper, white cardstock, Fall Elegance stamp set - PTI, brown ribbon)

Today is also CASE Artist Saturday over at Christian Paper Crafts, with Michelle or Tolep8nt being in the spotlight today! I decided to CASE her card found here. I love the fun circles and since I am just breaking out my nestabilities that I have had for a little while (months on end)... this was a lot of fun and the perfect opportunity! Wanna know another fun tid bit about this card? It is also for the challenge over at the Stampin Sisters in Christ blog and everything except the little white ribbon is from my bag of scraps! I LOVE being able to use things "Good to the last drop" quality! :o)

(Heavenly Medley stamps by PTI, button, jute, Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Papers from HisPrincess Scrapbook Kits, Fiskars treading water punch, Background Basics Retro stamps by PTI)

Scripture Saturday - SS004 - Joshua 1:6

"Be strong and courageous"
What powerful words that we are given here. You know, this verse one of the most easiest that I can explain (this part of it), is that we are to be strong and courageous knowing that God is with us. However, we also must remember that all strength and courage comes through the Father!
Please visit Christian Paper Crafts to play along with today's Scripture Saturday!!
Here is mine! Sorry to run, but we have church conference early this morning! Have a blessed weekend!

Thankful Thursday!

Hi everyone!! Almost Friday - can you feel it coming? I'm still cranking out pages for the lake scrapbook - it's coming along nicely! My hope is that through creating this scrapbook and showing the creativity the Lord has blessed me with, along with the wonderful ways the Lord has blessed us, that we are letting our lights shine through to family who is lost. I titled today thankful Thursday, because I am thankful. Thankful I have a God who is still in the saving and healing business after all this time!
Just as early this week, Cosmo Cricket Early Bird is my paper of choice from His Princess Scrapbook Kits along with a little bit of PTI Ocean Tides. The stamped image and sentiment are from PTI also (Love Song), and the ink is Pure Poppy!!
Meet Abby and her Granny! We are out on the boat with the lovely lake as our background!!
Today is Bible Verse Thursday over at Christian Paper Crafts - go try it out!

Scripture Saturday - Joshua 10:25 - SS003

Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone that drops by the blog regularly has not dropped off since I have not posted in a week! I was having some major computer trouble... Well, really not major, but my computer would not type correctly in Internet Explorer and Firefox would not submit things properly! Long story made short, Abby (yes the 2 year old), hit some buttons on Thursday that caused me to have to sit down and work on the computer for almost 2 hours (it locked up EVERYTHING - Windows would not open), and after that we have been working fine!!
Today's Scripture Saturday scripture is from Joshua chapter 10 verse 25. I only used part of the verse on my page, which is of my dear Uncle John who passed away this past June. He and I were very close so this was a difficult page to make. If you notice, I have not done any journaling on the page yet except the verse. Perhaps one day I will be able to write my journaling on there, if not, I think the verse sums it all up. He was very strong and courageous all throughout his fight with brain cancer. He battled it over 4 years before going home to be with the Lord. Very strong and courageous if you ask me for a brain cancer that the medical field only gives a year life expectancy for!!
Come play along over at Christian Paper Crafts! Remember, there is no time limit, but please use SS003 and let us know if you upload or blog it anywhere!!
(My Minds Eye Papers, Buttons, Cricut)
This project is my card for 2Sketches4You this week! I used Cosmo Cricut papers and the stamp set is an oldie from SU Long Time Friend I think... The papers are all included in the His Princess Scrapbook Kits kit for this month!
God Bless You,
