Peace & Good Cheer

I totally can not believe that it is already November!  Surely we just returned from the beach just the other day, didn't we?
So many of the challenge sites are already picking colors that have my mind wrapped around Christmas, it just makes me smile!  I decided to combine this week's Color Throwdown with Sketch Tuesday over at Christian Paper Crafts.  Of course, it was a great excuse to get some new PaperTreyInk stamps inked up ;)
(Paper: PaperTreyInk, Image: Paper Trey Ink; Ink: Close to My Heart, Copics;
Accessories: Nestabilites, stickles, ribbon, bling)

I hope your week is going wonderfully!

Welcome to Christian Paper Crafts, Scrabooking!

Good morning! Can you believe it is the middle of the week already? Thankfully we are planning a little mini trip to take Abby to DollyWood this Saturday, but shhh, she doesn’t know – it’s a surprise!
Today is the kick-off of the new Scrapbooking Section over at Christian Paper Crafts! Please make time to stop by and see what all of the commotion is about! Since it is also Wednesday, it is time once again for CASE Artist Wednesday. Today’s challenge is to CASE ANYTHING from the new scrapbook section! See, simple as that, plus you are getting to play along in 2 challenges! How’s that for multi-tasking!!
The challenge I decided to CASE is a sketch, which also is the title of one of the new scrapbook challenges, Stretch Your Sketch! Here is what I came up with:

Also today, I have my card for Christian Paper Crafts Sketch Tuesday to share with you!  Made with some PaperTrey and Abbey Road sweetness with a touch of pearls!  This little bit is also going in the challenge over at Stampin Sister's in Christ this week :o)

This morning, I have a couple of little cards for you!  The first one uses Deedee's Digis, and the second is a little something I put together using the MOJO Monday sketch #115.  I hope you enjoy!

Case Artist Day @ CPC

It's Wednesday, so you know what that means, right?  Of course, it's time for the Wednesday CASE Artist over at Christian Paper Crafts!  Today the CPC site is being a tad bit silly, so we are directing everyone to the Creative Blog for the day!
Today's featured artist is Janaria.  Take a peak at that gallery and see what you want to CASE.  I chose and layout as inspiration this week and the card below is what I came up with!  This cute little bear from Deedee's Digis was the perfect touch! I did try to use the color's from the Curtain Call Color Challenge again, because they were just so fun - but had to add in a little splash of blue and purple on the parachute!  :o)
(Paper: PaperTreyInk, BoBunny; Image: Deedee's Digis; Accessories: Nestabilities, Lace, Jute, Buttons, cuttlebug; Ink: Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist, Copics, Distress Ink - Tea Stain)

Hope your week is absolutely fabulous!

Rain Rain Go Away!

I could finish that song a few different ways, most important: Me and Abby want to play...next: I've got some cards that need pics took today :o)  We have sure been having a wet Summer around here so far!
I loved combining my new Deedee's Digi stamp with the sketch challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts today!  Deedee's Digis are so fun to color and really give me an opportunity to truly play with more of my copics than one color family at a time :o)
Products used: PTI cardstock, Cosmo Cricket DP, Deedee's Digi, edge distresser, copics, ribbon, jute, spellbinders nestabilities.
Have a great day - wet or dry!

Jam Packed

Happy Saturday!  I am so blessed to be sitting here in my office this morning typing to such lovely visitors like you!  If this is your first time stopping by, I sure hope you enjoy yourself and if you like what you see, please click and follow me!!
*I finally posted my Copic Certification badge on my blog thanks to a sweet reminder from an encouraging friend!  :)*
Today over at Christian Paper Crafts is Scripture Saturday and CASE Artist Saturday!  Our Scripture for today is Luke 6:19 and a decided to make an Artist Trading Card (ATC) for my stand that I keep on my desk at work!  I am loving how it turned out so cute and shabby :o)
I used PaperTreyInk cardstock and designer paper, buttons, twine, Tim Hotz Distress Ink in Tea Stain, a Zig Marker to write the Scripture with and last but most certainly not least, I spritzed some Tattered Angels glimmer mist on what was white lace for the trim!  Almost everything on the card was run through the cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder and I distressed the edges on the small button holder squares to rough them up a tad!  Such a sweet Sketch from SplitCoast Stampers could not be passed up, so I had to try it out on here!

Next up - CASE Artist Saturday!  Today is the last day for CASE Artist Saturday, but don't be sad, that's 'cause we're moving to Wednesday!  Starting Wednesday the 23rd, we will be WAC or Wednesday Case Artist, or "Hump Day Cards" LOL
I used PaperTreyInk Cardstock and Cosmo Cricket designer paper from the Early Bird Line!  A little lace, some jute, a button, some pearls - all those were the frosting :o)  The stamped image is from the Ippity stamps by Unity and colored with Copics!  A fiskars punch was the perfect addition to the side panel to give it some pizzas and I rounded the corners of the card just to be a little different!

I hope you have a wonderful Saturday!

God Bless You,
Mary

Truckin' On through the Work Week

You know, I'm totally girl. I don't care to admit it either! I can deal with shades of blue and green, but chances are, there's some pink thrown in there and definately some bling. So.... this little card was a true challenge!
I took the plunge and made it anyways! I'm not too dissapointed in it either! See, as we give the Prayer Shawls away at church, we are also doing blankets for children who are ill. As I have been making adult and girly cards, I admit the cards for boys have been store bought! (It's okay - I make sure to find out their favorite characters!!)
The stamp set used on here is an oldie from Stampin Up called Little Trucks. I actually purchased this one off of eBay to make a birthday card for my little nephew Cole a few years back! And yes, that's the kind of Aunt I am - I'll buy a whole stamp set for ONE card for the babies :o) The papers are PTI cardstock and Cosmo Cricket the Boyfriend pp line. Making Memories mesh star brads, Tim Holtz distress ink, copics, nestabilities, and jute!! The card is also for the Fun on Friday challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts from last week when we were out of town. One stamp set, two embellishments, and three different pp's!
Have a wonderful wednesday - Half way through the work week!!

God Bless You,
Mary

Scrapping Sweets

The month of January is quickly coming to an end, but we have had so much fun playing with GinaK goodies at Christian Paper Crafts.
When it comes to Valentine's this year - why not think of someone other than your normal sweetheart? My favorite scrapbooking buddy is my mom - and what scrapbooker wouldn't think this kind of candy is not better than chocolate?
The box is a timeless template purchased at PaperTreyInk and the stamp is Gina K from the Festive Labels collection. The small pillow box of buttons is also from Gina K and can together with scrap paper to make a small gift. All the fabric flowers are handmade by me.
Well, I must run - it will be a long day at work with an evening meeting and snow on the way tomorrow! I'm happy to say that next week I hope to have my new blog more up and running and be more recovered from the battery issue :o)!
God Bless You,

Friday...Friday

Wow! It seems as if this week has taken forever to crawl by for me... How about you? My wonderful hubby and I have been praying about a big decision, so perhaps that is why it has went so much slower. It is so much easier to give others advice to "pray and listen to God, just do what He wants you to do", then it is to use the advice yourself. Thankfully I know that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens me (Phil. 4:13) and have to remind myself that I must decrease for Him to increase (paraphrase of John 3:30). Please keep us in your prayers.
Moving on to a little craftiness in the world :o) Nothing takes your mind off of "other" stuff and helps me to relax than being surrounded by my paper! It's my me time, well, my Me & God time, really!
On to explain the photo at the top! I apologize in advance that these are not great photos - I took them (too) early this morning! You see, my laundry room is...well... it's just not right! I mean - the size of it is odd, the layout is odd, and it also doubles as my pantry... Trust me - weird! It is the only room in the house with paneling, too! I know - weird! I never could bring myself to spend money to decorate in there because - I just plain don't like the room... So, I found some frog material at Wal-Mart and decided I would make frog curtains since they would be relatively cheap. The collection began and now, there are frogs sitting on the hot water heater, etc... And you wanna know something else - I don't like frogs in real life!!
When I saw these little white frames, I knew I had to do F (fully) R (rely) O (on) G (God) with them for my laundry room!
Fun on Friday over at Christian Paper Crafts today is to use an animal in your project! I hope this fits the bill! Come play along - there are no time limits, just have fun and glorify the Lord!
I made this little number for a Housewarming Shower. If you look closely, you will see that the verse is none other than the Fruits of the Spirit from Galatians! How appropriate since I used the lovely fruit stamps from PaperTrey Ink. The paper is a bit from the BoBunny Recipe collection, and the label shape was done with my nestabilities and cuttlebug! The ribbon, jute, and lace are all items I already had in my stash! I hope that you enjoyed looking and perhaps even take some inspiration to do your own handmade gifts.I have a new thread started over at Christian Paper Crafts titled Cheap-O's Gather Here!!! If you click on the title, it will take you right to the link. It's my hope that this thread will become a resource for homemade/handmade gift ideas for those budgeting for Christmas, but still wanting to share in the joy of giving. Please stop by and leave some ideas. If you have not registered, it is all free and fun fun fun!!

God Bless You,

Fun Fall Friday

Hey all you Kentucky fans out there – Kevin Skinner won America’s Got Talent and we couldn’t be prouder of him! Woo Hoo! God Bless You Kevin!
I have had a lot of connectivity issues over the past couple of days and hope they are getting sorted out slowly but surely. This has led to my blog being somewhat neglected. Unfortunately, I have not been able to upload to my gallery over at Christian Paper Crafts either – bummer! Come Saturday night though, MAJOR uploading if everything goes as planned!
This little card is a super fun fall card made for Stampin Sister’s in Christ! Their challenge this week was a sketch – one of my all time favorite kinds of challenges! As a little FYI: you may notice that most of my cards do not have scripture on the front, it is usually because the verse inside is almost always a Bible verse. The stamps are all Papertrey Ink and the cardstock is also PTI. The ink is PTI and CTMH. I am not sure of the manufacturer on the little pumpkin paper, but it was too cute not to use! Jute and a little ribbon finished up this cute number and has it ready to be sent!!
And let me tell you, I have been busy as a little bee working on preparations for Crop 4 a Cure! Don't forget that it is going to be October 3rd from 9:00 to 9:00 at HFWB church - please email me for more details!!!

Pretty as a Pumpkin

I just love fall. It really is my facorite season and I am sure I have mentioned that on here many times before. Something about the crisp smell of the air makes me want to have pumpkins sitting around and piles of leafs to jump in! Fall pictures of Abby turned out so gorgeous last year that I can't wait to do it again!
This little card follows a Sweet and Sassy sketch SSS18, but other than that, it was made from stuff lying around the scrapbook nook! Have a wonderful day everyone & don't forget about the membership drive challenge going on over at Christian Paper Crafts!
God Bless You,
