Birthday Girl

That would be me!  And I'm super excited to be!  It's another year that God has given me to enjoy life and my friends and family!  I am soo blessed!

So, let's play with some challenges.  First up is the CAS(E) this sketch #29, even though I missed the deadline to upload this one this week, I really like the simplicity of the card and wanted to share it!  Next is a fun little sketch from another "new to me" site, Retro Sketches (#65).  Followed up with a little pretty inspired from this week's sketch at Sweet Sunday Sketches (#185).

So, how are you going to celebrate my birthday?  Me - a day with my momma and sweet girl since my hubby is working!  No regrets though - he will be off for vacation soon to take us to the happiest place on Earth...DISNEY - to celebrate my graduation!

Four for Thursday

Busy Thursday here at the blog (always busy at the homefront and office)!  Maybe being in my little office at home makes me forget how messy the rest of the house really is!  Similar to the way our lives can become if we forget to keep Christ in the center!

Today I've got a few different challenges going on.  Bear with me!
First up is for MOJO Monday - look at those little owls!  I had forgotten how much I love this little PaperTreyInk set!  Then a little Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC183), followed by a "new to me challenge" - Sketch Saturday, and winding up with an old favorite of mine, The Sweet Shop Sketches Challenge (SSS212)

Have a fabulous week!  It's winding down and *shhhh* this girlie has the day off from work tomorrow!!

Blessings, Mary

Woot Woot It's Wednesday!

I realize for my family that it is "already" Wednesday - since Abby didn't have school and my hubby had the holiday off from work, but for me - it is FINALLY Wednesday since I did work!  Wednesday's get me excited because it is the night of our mid-week church services where we attend, however tonight, my sweet hubby will be the guest minister at a revival!  Even more exciting for us!  Who knows, my little camera have to go to snap some pictures for the scrapbook - it's been neglected for quiet a while!  Seems when we get busy, so much gets neglected - what a wonderful feeling to know that our Heavenly Father never forgets us!

Today's little creations are playing along with two different challenges.
First up is Sketchbook Saturday (#97), followed by a little MOJO Monday for my Wednesday (#295).

Hope your week is going as fabulous as can be!

Back to Work

Good morning!  I hope that you are successfully recovering from your holiday weekend - if you had one!  Myself, I spent the majority of the day being a nurse, but was blessed enough to spend time with family at a BBQ as well!  I think of Memorial Day and why we celebrate, all the men and women who have fought for our freedom - and for me personally, our Holy Father who has given us the ultimate freedom, by sending His Son to take our place!

Today I decided to jump back in the swing of things and play along with Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC185 ontwo of my creations creations, as well as The Play Date Cafe (183) color challenge on the top card!  The last card is playing along with the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday #207).

All of my supplies came from either Taylored Expression's or PaperTrey Ink with some CTMH ink, miscellaneous copics, ribbon, and bling tossed in!

Thank you for stopping by and letting me be part of your day!  Your kind words and comments bless me immensely!

Happy Memorial Day! && Look Who's Back!!

Happy Kick off to Summer!  After much, MUCH, thought and prayers - the Softangelkisses blog will be back up and running!  It'll be a hodgepodge though - that's just advanced warning!  The majority will be paper-crafting and gift giving (I LOVE to give), but you will also see some sewing and general "home-ec." tossed in, and - scripture, prayers, praises, devotionals - yup, that's the sole purpose!  Glorify the Lord in all you do!!

Between school and life in general, some things had to be put on the back burner temporarily in order to merely survive!  I continued to teach at and coordinate our church's Sunday School program along side my husband, all the while working 40+ hours a week, doing approximately 20-35 hours of clinicals a week, going to school, studying for comps, boards, and that's not including the normal day to day being a wife, momma, and all the house and family roles that fall into place there!  I am blessed to say that I have graduated school and am now prayerfully seeking a new position as a Nurse Practitioner - keep me in your prayers as I embark this new journey, please.
