Cousins

I was off last week due to having all of my wisdom teeth removed! I guess there went my smartness with them LOL!

Last night I was able to go enjoy Crop Night swollen jaw and all though!

I made this page last night and wish it would have photographed better. It is a much better page in real life...
Paper: Moda Fabrics for Daisy D's; Making Memories Rub On; Autumn Leaves Stamp Set
I do have more, hopefully I will get it uploaded in the upcoming week. I completed 4 of my baggies that I took to crop night last night! I was so thrilled!

Rolodex Cards and Prepping for Crop Night

I know I had intentions of sharing a card today, but let me tell you, my scrapbook room is TOO COLD to sit up here and make a card right now!!

Here is my spin on the rolodex card craze - I used scrap paper to cover my cards and various embellishments that I had left overs of and used the cards to put my Bible Verses on!!

Here are a few of them:

Oh, and as far as how I get ready for crop night...enter the new large ZIPLOCK bags our Wal-Mart has started carrying! I take one of these for every page I either have an idea for in my head or that I want to CASE. If it is a cased page I print off a basic deisgn or layout on the internet, if it is my own deisgn I sketch it out - then I place those papers in their own individual bags. Throughout the week between crop night I add things in my bags as I find them - ribbons, papers, pictures, accessories, etc. Then the night before crop night I look over my bags to see which are the most complete and ready to go. I place those in my take pile and the others I either work on finishing up or place them in a pile for another week! For me it's the best way to make sure I don't wind up just sitting down there like the first time I went!!

I also make a little list of other things (cards, swaps, etc ) that need worked on in case I am not in the mood to scrap!!
By the way, I will share what I get done at crop night this weekend!

Scrapbook Page and New Goodies!

Here is my scrapbook page! If you cannot read the title, it says "together"! I love taking pictures of me and Abby cuddled up in the bed - this is one of my favorites.

Paper: Basic Brown SU cardstock www.stampinup.com , Bravo Burgendy SU cardstock www.stampinup.com , Misc Patterned Paper (sorry - I couldn't find a manufactor or title on it anywhere!); Access: Ribbon from Wal-Mart; Cute flourish made with cricut www.cricut.com - unsure of cartridge as it was made at the scrapbook store.

And here are my goodies that came in the mail today:

I ordered this stuff from www.scrapbookpal.com and got the edge distresser for free (promo code edge at checkout - no need to add the distresser to your cart, it will show up when you type in the code). I am super excited about working on the family chipboard album. I hope to find papers for it the next time we go to the scrapbook store or Hobby Lobby. The Prima Flowers are especially for a Valentine's Mailbox that I am working on where the traditional pink just didn't fit!
Okay - Abby needs to get to sleep and I am planning out a card to make for tomorrow. I have to get my page kits ready to take to crop night Saturday night, so I will share that method with tomorrow also!

Valentine Treats

We are hoping to get a new scrapbooking space in this house within the next 3-5 mos, because here is what we are dealing with for now:

My scrapbook room is probably about 6'x6'!!! Needless to say, I have long outgrown it and have branched out into the family room adjacent to it...*No it was not built to be a scrapbook room - just a little nook off to the side that we thought looked the *perfect* size when we bought the house....hahaha very funny! Abby and I are sitting in the family room with a folding table set up beside of the computer desk - both of which are covered with scrapbook supplies!

On to the Valentine's Treats!
I have been having my brother-in-law save his Starbuck's Frap bottles for me so that when the perfect project comes up I will not have to wait on the bottles! Since my coutertop is full of the bottles now, I decided I better start using them!

Paper:Heidi grace Designs www.heidigrace.com Love Blossoms Small Floral Hearts; Stamps: Sweet You by Paper Trey Ink www.papertreyink.com ; Ink: Pretty In Pink www.stampinup.com ; Acess: Ribbon, Circle Scallop Punches, Mod Podge.

I used Mod Podge to hold the paper to the bottle, then added another coat on top of the paper to give it a nice label like shine. I cut the slits on the punched peices of cardstock with an exacto knife since I don't have a slit punch and it worked rather well! I couldn't decide which design to make, that's why you see both!

Guess Who's Back¿

Woo Hoo! A day off of work was a sweet treat!

First - here are me and my girl after church earlier today (we went out to eat)!

Also, I am getting back to stamping and scrapbooking! I know - that is what the blog is supposed to be about - or what I made it for, but I have been really down lately and slacked!

Here you go - totally cased from Emily Giovanni at http://emilygiovanni.com/

Avery Address Labels 8160; Stamps: Sweet Love by Paper Trey Ink www.papertreyink.com Ink: Real Red Classic Ink www.stampinup.com ; Pretty in Pink Classic Ink www.stampinup.com Access: Ribbon
Doing this at least meant that I was doing something, even if it was a total copy! I really do love making these Nugget Tins though. They are super cute and super easy!

Here is my first mailbox! Granny Hawkins was nice enough to send them to me since we don't have a Tarjay nearby and they are not sol on www.target.com
